Mondeo has achieved ISO 14001 environmental certification, a recognition that, integrating with its ISO 9001 Quality certification, attests to the adoption of a structured management system focused on continuous improvement.
The certification requires not only compliance with regulations, but also the adoption of concrete measures to prevent and reduce environmental impact. Along these lines, Mondeo has chosen to completely eliminate the use of methane gas from its production and logistics activities. The facility is powered exclusively by electricity, a large portion of which is generated by the company’s photovoltaic system, recently doubled in capacity as part of the production site expansion. Technological investments also reflect the commitment to combining performance, efficiency, and environmental awareness. The new electropolishing plant, which operates entirely on electricity, was designed to further reduce the environmental impact of the process. The laser-cutting machines, meanwhile, help optimise production by reducing waste and ensuring a more efficient use of raw materials.
But for Mondeo, sustainability goes beyond production processes.
The company has always interpreted the concept of hydraulic efficiency through solutions designed to improve system performance, reduce head losses, and promote a more conscious use of resources. This vision is also reflected in the choice of stainless steel as its material of reference: strong, durable, hygienic and 100% recyclable.
