Shut-off valves are transversal and widely used components. In hydraulic systems and pressure boosting units, they perform a function that is as simple as it is essential: allowing the flow to be opened and closed quickly, safely and reliably. Without them, maintenance operations, system safety and operational continuity would be impossible to ensure.
Ball valves, in particular, provide fast and complete shut-off with a simple quarter turn, while also ensuring excellent tightness even under extreme temperature conditions and high operating pressures.
Mondeo has expanded the H3046 / ML ball valve range with a new 2” 1/2 model. This extension makes the product a reliable and robust solution even for applications requiring high flow rates.
The extension of the H3046 / ML range up to DN 65 (2” 1/2) allows it to effectively meet the needs of systems handling large water volumes, such as distribution systems or civil and industrial pressure boosting units.

The male–female configuration represents a concrete advantage during installation, especially when assembling complex pressure boosting systems. Thanks to its versatility, the valve ensures:

  • greater installation flexibility
  • reduction of additional fittings
  • easier disassembly for maintenance or replacement

Main design features

The H3046 / ML valve is made of hot-forged brass, featuring:

  • brass ball, body and stem
  • PTFE seats, ensuring smooth operation and long service life
  • NBR O-rings
  • steel T-handle, for quick and intuitive operation

The technical specifications include:

  • nominal operating pressure: 25 bar
  • temperature range: –20 °C to +110 °C
  • threaded gas connections M–F according to UNI ISO 228/1

A further distinguishing feature is the ACS approval, which makes the valve suitable for potable water applications.
