The renewal and technological implementation of our systems continue, in line with our product and work quality objective.
In consequence, we recently acquired a T-Drill S-80: this new automatic collaring machine with automatic positioner will work alongside the already-existing TDrill S-54 to produce stainless steel manifolds.
Extrusion is very important and requires high quality standards. It must guarantee perfect outflow alignment and the possibility of optimal flat welding.
The new machine was designed to shape collars of outer diameter 12.0 – 80.0 mm for pipes of max. length 3,000 mm, outer diameter max. 114.3, and having a main pipe wall thickness of up to 3.0 mm.
The tool magazine has 5 tool positions for 5 bit and tool changes, so processing can be modified easily.
In terms of productivity, and as such lead time, the production time needed for each collar is 70% shorter.
The advantages also involve safety: the machine completely eliminates any risk for the operator, given that the work process is fully automatic and reduces any manual activity during piece processing.
Even the ecological aspects are important. The new TDrill optimizes the use of mould oil because minimum doses are issued by automatic sprayers. It gives optimal energy savings, considerably reduces processing waste disposal, and eliminates belt use and grinding dust.
