Everyone has to play their part in climatic changes and protecting the environment.
This is true for citizens, but even and above all for companies.
Promoting and implementing reduced energy consumption means greatly reducing carbon dioxide emissions and, in consequence, the environmental impact.
Goal 7 of the 2030 Agenda deals with a drastic reduction in the use of fossil fuels, and the possibility of everyone having enough renewable energy to satisfy their requirements. Today, another consideration has to be added in support of the company goal of sustainable development. The use of alternative energy sources is not just a socially responsible choice. The problems tied to energy supplies and higher raw material prices make renewable energy a powerful strategy.
Mondeo has been focusing on renewable energy for a while now.
It has solar panels on its roof, which guarantee about 40% of the electric energy used by the company, powering both the production area and the office area. It is a high percentage, above all if compared with the national average, which is about 10% (data from Terna).
The company plan for the immediate future is to increase its photovoltaic devices so it can cover up to 60% of its energy requirements.
The desire to continue aiming at the self-production of energy from renewable sources is fully coherent with Mondeo’s philosophy:
