In answer to a market demand, Mondeo has increased its ball valve range with a new and interesting product: the H2048 valve that is special because its union is incorporated. Even though a fairly common solution for copper valves, it is a real novelty for the market when talking about stainless steel.
In practice, the new H2048 valve carries out the same functions as the H2013 valve, to which the MF 3-piece union is coupled.
The technical characteristics of the H2048 valve are indicated in the data sheet in the catalogue, which can be downloaded from the site. But we want to tell you about the strong point of this type of solution.
So, why should you choose a ball valve with incorporated union?
The first advantage is undoubtedly its compactness. The H2048 valve is smaller than the valve plus union solution, 20% to 30% according to the valve size. Definitely a strong point when optimising the space occupied by a system, without forgetting the faster installation speed because dealing with a single piece.
Another important aspect is its cost efficiency. When purchased individually, the two components, valve and union, cost more than the H2048 integrated solution.
Finally, a consideration for maintenance. It is, in fact, evident that reducing the number of components in a system also lowers the risk of possible leaks.
“This ball valve with integrated union,” explained Nicola Ghiotto, the CEO of Mondeo, “highlights how innovation often doesn’t just mean introducing completely new products, but also finding smarter solutions to improve existing ones. At Mondeo we are particularly careful about the development of our products, which often comes about from a characteristic that identifies them, namely the ability to replicate in stainless steel the aspects and functions of products made from other materials, and all at an accessible cost.”
