Mondeo’s stainless steel hydraulic valves and manifolds are made of thinly-pressed elements that are then TIG-welded to guarantee optimal sealing. Precision during the various processing phases is, naturally, fundamental for end product quality and it touches every step of the production process, even when the stainless steel components are cleaned.
Before being welded, the different valve and manifold components must be carefully degreased to guarantee that smoke caused by oily residues is not released. Washing is therefore an important phase in making sure that the subsequent steps come out well.
In the industrial washing sector, technological development has made it possible to perfect new solutions that unite efficiency with sustainability. It was precisely this search for elevated cleaning standards, together with a keen interest in the environmental impact of our lines and production processes, that pushed us to implement the best washing technology available to clean the stainless steel components we use.
The distinctive trait that places our washer above the rest is its 100% vacuum treatment cycle during every phase, even when washing with liquid and drying.
The materials are washed using modified alcohol, not water. Even though modified alcohol guarantees degreasing results of the same quality as common solvents, it has the big advantage of not being classed as a toxic product.
Cyclically, the washer has an oil distillation phase, then it completely separates the oil from the alcohol; in this way all the alcohol can be re-used during the wash cycle while the oil, once separated, can be collected and disposed of as waste.
Briefly, here are some advantages that this total vacuum treatment ensures:
The addition of this new wash cycle, which completely eliminates the use of water during the degreasing phase and allows us to recycle the solvents used, has become part of an environmental sustainability policy that we are trying to boost with constant innovations at all levels, from production to company management.
